$10 per head, which is refundable on purchase of take home wine

This includes our Estate wines and Reserve wines – collectively worth over $200!

Please note as per the Fine Print below that bookings must be between 10 am and 12 noon on weekends. We can, however, do tasting groups on other days but please give us plenty of notice. Also we can take bookings after midday on weekends in which case we charge a tasting fee of:

$10 per head, which is refundable on purchase of take home wine

For the afternoon tasting we offer this after 3.00pm. We only offer the cellar door tasting but you are more than welcome to just buy a glass of wine and sit and enjoy it. As we are one of only a handful of Hills wineries that allow afternoon group tastings we charge a premium for the tasting.

 

 

 

The Fine Print: Minimum 6 people. Maximum 24 people. Bookings must be between 10 am – 12 noon on weekends . Full payment for your tour is required at the time of booking, which must be by the Wednesday beforehand. Your deposit is non refundable if your group cancels within 24 hours or is intoxicated upon arrival. (Legally we cannot serve you if you are intoxicated).  Also please note due to our license conditions no alcoholic beverage may be brought onto the premises and only sealed bottles may be taken off premise.   • Our introductory tasting of wines already in bottle 
  • An informative chat about how the wines are made
  • $5 per head, which is refundable on purchase, for the tasting
  • Have lunch with us with the choice of our gourmet platters or wood fired pizzas. Please see the Menu page for details.
  • We offer a set price of $22 per pizza and $32.50 per platter for groups
  • We suggest starting with (a) shared platter(s) then a selection of pizzas based on our experience
  • Allow 1 hour for the tasting and 1 hour for lunch. Large groups may take longer. 
  • Factor on food costing $25 per head, plus you need to commit to a minimum of $10 of wine per person (by the glass or bottle), plus the tasting fee

“The Works” tour (Formerly known as The Full Monty)

**Whilst we are relocating from the Old Woollen Mill in Lobethal to our new cellar door in Lenswood the full Works tour is not available**

**Instead we are offering a scaled down version called……..

“The Mini Works” tour 

(for groups of 2, or more)

Full Monty

“The experience in the winery was actually more interesting than the rest of our day in the Hills as you were able to show us wines straight from the barrels in different stages. Thank you for sharing that knowledge with us and showing us how they develop. Was great!!”

  • A unique experience in the Hills and a great opportunity for you to do something different
  • Go into the wine cellar for a private tasting devoted exclusively to you
  • See how the “wine is handmade with passion”, and taste wines from the barrel and vat
  • During Vintage (March to July), experience the wines being actually made. Taste juice, partially fermented wine and fully fermented wine. Learn about the way wine is made, the stages it goes through from juice to bottle.
  • During and after Vintage see how a blend is put together. This is your opportunity to see how we make our Chardonnays, Shirazes or Pinot Noirs!
  • Finish with a tasting of the wines already in bottle, that we do for the Cellar Door tasting.
  • Allow 2  hours, depending on the size of your group, and your level of interest.
  • $20 per head. **This is redeemable on the purchase of 2 bottles of wine or more, which can be mixed.**
  • Why not combine this with having lunch with us? Please allow another hour for lunch
  • We offer a combined package deal of The Mini Works, entree and main lunch, glass of wine pp with lunch and a bottle of wine to take away for free  (wine chosen by us) per couple. All this for just $55 pp.
  • Or go the “whole hog”:
  • The Mini Works, lunch, drinks package plus have lunch with the winemaker and try a bottle or two from the cellar. We will guarantee you exclusivity on the dining space (all yours for the duration!) and the opportunity to try wines normally reserved for the winemaker. Also the opportunity to choose a lunch time booking or a dinner time booking. All this for $120 pp. Please enquire about details, via email.

The Fine Print: The Works: Minimum 2 people. Maximum 10 people at one time. We can split groups into two if there is more than 10 people.  Bookings must be between 10 am – 12 noon on Fridays and weekends. Bookings can be combined with lunch. No bookings on Public Holidays. Availability subject to the winemaker’s availability. “The Works” tour must be booked at least a week in advance, and at the same time we require a 50% deposit.  Please make sure that you wear sensible shoes and clothes. Your deposit is non refundable if you cancel within 24 hours of your booking. Please book on cellar@tilbrookestate.com.au  For The Works plus lunch plus drinks package and for “the whole hog” please email for further details.

 

 The “Bottling” experience

(for groups of 4, or more)

Bottling Mayhem

  • Get to bottle your own wine, with professional equipment
  • Great idea for friends to source good value wine
  • Or for Clubs to raise funds (limited license may be required)
  • We will help you to chose a red or white wine from our wines
  • We can suggest full colour digital printers for the professional look, or you print your own labels on special wine label stock
  • $72 – $120 per dozen, plus labels. Minimum 32 cases. Maximum 200 cases
  • Allow 2 to 8 hours depending on quantity
  • Allow $35 per head, for a wood oven pizza lunch, plus a plunger coffee and cookies for smoko

 

The Fine Print: Minimum 4 people. Maximum 36 people. Bookings must be between 11 am – 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays or on weekdays. No bookings on Public Holidays. Availability subject to the winemaker’s availability. The “Bottling” experience must be booked at least four weeks in advance.  At the time of booking we require you to pay up front for 50% of the cost of the wine, in case we have to buy it in. This is non refundable if you decide to cancel the bottling as we can’t send the wine back once we have blended it up. A week before the bottling date we purchase the bottles, caps, cartons and dividers. At that time we require you to pay the other 50%. If you then decide to cancel then you will lose this amount. At least a week before the bottling date we also require you to pay 50% deposit on your lunch. Your lunch deposit is non refundable if you cancel after the Thursday before your booking.     I am emailing you to enquire regarding our Work staff show. I think Toni spoke to you briefly about this a few weeks ago .
    We would have aprox. 13-17 people and we were looking at Friday night the 9th of December at about 6pm or whenever it suited you.
