For the first 18 months after the Cudlee Creek bushfire, because nearly all our stock was destroyed in the fire, we had no wine of our own.

Two local wineries came to the rescue, one donated wine, the other sold it to us at cost. We called this wine ”hope!”

Our latest step on our road to recovery has been the release of four of our own vineyard grown and made wines. We now have Tilbrook Estate Reserve Chardonnay, Tilbrook Estate Pinot Gris, Tilbrook Estate Sauvignon Blanc and Tilbrook Estate Shiraz back in bottle and available online and at the cellar door.

2022 Tilbrook Estate Pinot Gris

Aromas of early spring blossom, apple, pear and spice. An elegantly creamy palate, fruity with subtle flavours and fine acidity

We had another low yielding year in 2022 and picked less than a tonne of grapes. "Normally" we pick 3 times this much so it means there is only a very small quantity available this year!

The grapes were picked from Mum’s Block on our Estate vineyard in late March. My mother helped me plant this block, when she was 75! The grapes were crush destemmed and pressed. The juice was then settled overnight. The clear juice was fermented in vat at a low ambient temperature. The wine was matured on yeast lees for added richness for 8 months prior to bottling. Previous vintages rated up to 93 points.
